Leslie Clarke, Kayne Rusk and their friends arrive on the planet and form a team to help establish the fledgling Colony Three in the face of dangerous megafauna, disease, and political intrigue. What happened to Colonies One and Two? Why was the colony ship Atropos nearly destroyed when it entered the system? What can one small group of adventurers do to meet the needs of the colony, when the agenda is so weighty, so long?
